Dan L. Eaton
Partner - Chairman & CEO
Dan
has over 23 years experience as an entrepreneur, involved in financial
management, project finance as well as development and construction
projects.
Dan established Eaton Power in 2001 with the vision of creating a significant electric generating company with a primary focus on green energy. Dan was accountable for establishing Eaton as an entity and then attracting and retaining the talented individuals who contributed to making the 11MW Furry Creek run-of-river hydroelectric station a reality. Dan was also instrumental in conceiving and developing the vision for Hydromax, the joint venture between Eaton and Enmax from Calgary.
Dan clearly has vision with respect to starting and developing the kind of entity that Eaton Hydro is and what it will become in the future. Dan saw a clear opportunity for independent power production with the introduction of the Province's Energy Plan in 2002 and had previously organized Eaton to pursue this opportunity. Dan has clearly articulated views of what Eaton can become given the electric market changes in British Columbia and with its neighbouring jurisdictions and will continue to build a strong team to execute this vision.
